Dedicated to making a lasting difference.

From its earliest beginnings, Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU) has been committed to giving back to help Nevada’s neighbors and neighborhoods thrive. In an effort to exemplify this core value of the Credit Union and facilitate community betterment, philanthropic employees organized the Community Involvement Committee (CIC). This employee-driven committee focuses on improving the community through service and action, and it has grown over time to include representatives from each branch and department. Together, volunteers actively support organizations including the Children's Miracle Network, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Clark County School District Focus Schools.

SSSCU management recognized the positive impacts that the CIC was making and wanted to find a way to empower employees to continue to serve locally and support initiatives that better the lives of Southern Nevada’s youth. To further the philanthropic work of the CIC, the Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit (POP) Foundation was created.

As the charitable arm of Silver State Schools Credit Union, the POP Foundation's primary focus is elevating education in Southern Nevada to support initiatives that prepare our students for long-term success and fulfilling lives.
