Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit Foundation (the “POP Foundation,” “Foundation,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our website visitors. Our Privacy Policy was adopted to ensure that we provide transparency in how we collect and use data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices and the choices you can make about how we collect and use your information.
 
Please be advised, this Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect both online and offline. 

What information does the POP Foundation collect?

We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us. When visiting our website, we collect information about how our user access and use our website. We collect this information from our web server log and the cookies stored on your computer.
 
As a donor, you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Company name (only applicable if you are giving on behalf of a company)

Providing the above data is required to reach you about volunteer opportunities.

Providing the above data is required to send you updates and our newsletter.
 
If you would like to contact us, you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Type of Inquiry

Please be advised, your email address is used to send you important information about the Foundation and updates on our programs, projects, and activities. If you would like to opt-out of receiving any information outside of the important information, you may contact us via email, phone, or mail. POP Foundation uses the information we collect to accept donations, complete our charitable projects, and provide you with information about our programs, projects, and activities. Additionally, we use the information for internal purposes (to better understand our supporters) and for analytical purposes (to improve our website, outreach, and donor base). We may collect other information through our site, or a third-party site, and will inform you if we do so.

Where do we store your information?

The data will be collected and stored on our private server. These servers are not available to the public. All employees and third parties with access to this data are dedicated to ensuring that they uphold your privacy and security.

How do we secure your data?

The POP Foundation is committed to ensuring our donor's privacy is protected by using technology that encrypts or disguises all information that you provide. We can do this by using a secure server that utilizes SSL encryption. Additionally, all sensitive information that you provide is stored in secure databases in-house.

Who do we share information with?

Outside of a third-party site that we use to process your donations, the Foundation does not sell, trade, or share donor’s private information with other organizations that intend to use it to market their products or services.
 
We may share your information if it is required by law and to any third parties, such as lawyers, accountants, advisors, who work with the Foundation and maintain the same confidentiality as any employee.

Can you access or update the information you give to us?

If you would like access to the data that we received from you, or to make corrections, changes, or updates, you may contact us at the email or mailing address located at the end of this policy.
 
If you registered to receive communications from us and later change your mind, you may ask that your name and contact information be removed from our distribution list. You can send your request to the email or mailing address located at the end of this policy.

Are children allowed to access the Foundation’s website?

We are committed to helping the youth in Nevada succeed and offer or help fund programs that help to ensure their success. We hope that children, with their parent’s supervision, will visit our website together to learn about the Foundation and any opportunities for children to participate. We do not intentionally collect personal information from people under the age of 18. Anyone under the age of 18 who would like more information on our privacy policy, please have your parent contact us at the email or mailing address located at the end of this policy.

Will there be changes to our Privacy Policy?

Our Privacy Policy is current as indicated by the “Last Modified” date legend at the top of this page.
 
From time to time, it may be necessary to modify this Privacy Policy in order to accurately reflect our data collection and disclosure practices. We reserve the right to do so at any time without advance notice by posting an updated version of the Privacy Policy to the Foundation website. We expect most of these changes to be minor. In the unlikely event that the changes to this Privacy Policy would inadvertently affect you, we would let you know in advance by email or by posting a notice on the website. 
 
Your continued use of the Foundation website following the changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
